V8 Ranch is proud to announce the official launch of V8 Ranch Beef, a custom label, USDA Certified branded beef program with specifications for beef sourced from 100% purebred Brahman steers.
“We have been working on this project for about 7 years,” said Brandon Cutrer of V8 Ranch. “We specifically began by identifying bloodlines of cattle that had a high tendency to marble well and be tender. From there, we put heavy selection pressure on carcass quality through ultrasound and carcass data collection of cattle. We harvested our first group of steers in June 2018, with 100% grading U.S.D.A Choice.”
The steers are born, raised and fed on V8 Ranch in Wharton County, and processed at Dean & Peeler Meat Works in Floresville.
