You’ve heard us say it repeatedly, “the magic is in the cows,” and our recent sale validates that the Brahman breed believes in our females and the power they will add to a program. Our Made For Magic offering saw spirited bidding over the two day online sale, July 5th and 6th and the seven lots averaged $67,500.
V8 Ranch Recognizes Outstanding Junior Breeder
V8 Ranch has awarded the Outstanding Junior Breeder award at the American Junior Brahman Breeders (AJBA) All American and has done so since 2004. This year’s recipient is Arkansas’ Baylie Clay. She is an active junior member and exhibitor in her state, as well as on the national level.
First Sloan Williams Memorial Scholarship Awarded

A Name Known ‘Round The World
As you likely know, on December 22, 2020, we lost a legend. Our very own Roger “Sloan” Williams passed away, leaving an indelible mark on this ranch and the rodeo and ranching world at large. In our industry, ranchers are on-call 365 days a year to ensure a herd’s health and safety; calves, heifers and bulls must be tended to through sorrow, storms, and anything else that comes our way.
V8 Ranch Mourns Loss of Owner Sloan Williams
On December 22, 2020, V8 Ranch owner, rodeo and ranching legend Roger “Sloan” Williams passed away in Wharton, Texas. He was 88 years old.
V8 Claims Highest Honors at National Brahman Show
V8 Ranch won its first national championship in 1976 in Shreveport, Louisiana and in 2020 they returned to the city for the ABBA National Show. The Hungerford, Texas ranch added the titles of National Champion Female and Bull, plus nine division/group honors.
+Mr. V8 380/6 wins National Get-of-Sire Title for the Third Time
+Mr. V8 380/6 claimed another American Brahman Breeders Association (ABBA) national championship at the 2020 National Show. This marks the third time for the title for the bull known across the breed as “The Machine,” because of his ability to consistently sire quality. He previously won the title in 2016 and 2017, plus he has earned the international award in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020.
