+Miss V8 4/5 is the daughter of (+)WR Mr. Suva 203. Pedigree records can be traced back through the lineage of herd bull Mr. V8 232/1 to start with V8’s original Brahman cow, Carmencita 116.
She’s got the gorgeous blue pigment, feminine eye appeal, and maternal excellence characteristic to many Suva daughters.
Raised by V8, in the mid-1990s, Sloan sold half interest to his good friend Bobby Dickens (of Lazy D Farms in Mississippi). She went on to make a tremendous impact in both the V8 and Lazy D herd.
Famous Sons and Daughters
Here at V8, she produced an astonishing four Register of Renown daughters: +Miss V8 552/6, +Miss V8 933/5, +Miss V8 752/5, and +Miss V8 14/6. She also produced significant V8 herd bulls: Mr. V8 960/5 and Mr. V8 977/6. For Lazy D Farms, she produced Mr. LD 36/8—a championship show bull who stood 2nd in class at Houston behind Superstroke.
What Makes Her Special?
+Miss V8 4/5 is easily the impact cow of Lazy D Farms! Today, B.K. Dickens says that 90% of the Lazy D herd traces back to the top-notch 4/5 cow family. For us, well, it’s nearly impossible to beat four Register of Renown daughters! In fact, it’s the highest amount for any cow in the Brahman breed.
4/5 has been a staple of our herd for nearly 20 years, and the ancestry of her bloodline can actually be traced all the way back to V8’s 1944 foundation herd. Pedigree records can be traced back through the lineage of herd bull Mr. V8 232/1 to start with V8’s original Brahman cow, Carmencita 116.
