A Stellar Start to the Show Season
The 2024 American Brahman cattle show season began on a high note at the Bluebonnet Kick-off Classic in Bryan, Texas. V8 Ranch was honored to be among the many excellent breeders showcasing their cattle in the show ring at the Brazos County Expo Complex, and we’re grateful for the recognition our animals received.

Group Classes Showcase Herd Strength
Group Classes are competitions where several animals from the same breeding line are presented together. The goal is to showcase the uniform quality of animals produced by a specific bull or cow.
Group Classes are essential because they highlight a bull or cow’s ability to consistently produce top-quality offspring.
We were pleased to see our breeding program recognized in the group classes, where V8 cattle earned top honors in three categories:
Champion ET Produce of Dam
Awarded to the best offspring from the same dam via embryo transfer.
V8 Ranch 2024 Champion ET Produce of Dam – On +JDH Lady Manso 563
Champion Get of Sire
Recognized for producing the top group of offspring sired by the same bull.
V8 Ranch 2024 Champion Get of Sire – On +Mr. V8 146/8 “Sloan”
Champion Breeders Herd (Best 4 head)
Awarded to the best group of four animals from the same breeder.
V8 Ranch 2024 Bluebonnet Kick-off Classic Champion Breeders Herd (Best 4 Head)
These results reflect the consistent quality we strive for across our herd. Our repeated success in these classes indicates that V8 Ranch not only has one exceptional animal but can reliably produce multiple high-quality animals.

A Team Effort
While the cattle take center stage in the show ring, our success at the Bluebonnet Kick-off Classic is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our entire team. From the ranch hands providing daily care for the show string to the showmen presenting them in the ring, every team member contributes to these achievements. We’re incredibly grateful for their efforts.
