As you may know, the story of Brahman cattle goes way back—nearly a thousand years and a world away from Texas. Through those thousands of years, Bos indicus cattle, the ancestors of the Brahman breed, endured any number of hardships: from famine to drought, pests and disease. But their endurance made them stronger, and when American cattle breeders used Bos indicus cattle to develop the American Brahman breed, magic happened.
Today, Brahman cattle are some of the most distinctive and well-known in the world, and V8 is proud to produce some of the finest individuals the breed has to offer. And though this past year has had its share of challenges, we look to the heritage, strength, and integrity of our herd as a symbol of what’s to come for the future.
Which is why, in a year of unknowns and near-constant adjustments to our new reality, we couldn’t be more excited to warmly invite you to join us at the 2021 International Brahman Show.
Yes, while we were disheartened to hear that 2021 Houston Livestock Show would not be able to host the International Brahman Show this year, we were pleased to discover that the American Brahman Breeders Association would be hosting a new event: The International, Multi-Breed Open Breeding Cattle Show being held March 23-27, 2021 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas.
We’re sure you have a lot of questions and we want to be able to provide as many details as possible. Up-to-date information can always be found on the International Brahman Show Facebook page.
Below you will find everything you need in order to attend: a schedule of events, flight and hotel information, and best of all, how to see us while you’re there!

Many of the barns on the fairgrounds are also climate-controlled so guests can enjoy the event without worry of the elements.

V8 Ranch During the 2021 International Show
We look forward to hosting you both at our ranch and in Waco, Texas during the 2021 International Brahman Show. We will be bringing the same show string we would normally bring to Houston, so you’ll still get to see us showcase our best in Waco.
V8 Ranch Stall Party
There’s nothing quite like our now-famous Stall Party, which we will be hosting on Thursday afternoon, March 25 at 3:00 PM. Yes, we’re still having it! We will have specials on our top-selling AI sires as well as our 2021 Bull of the Year. We’re planning a socially-distanced stall party so that everyone can safely enjoy our hospitality, which we know has become one of your favorite parts of the International show.
Tours and Visits to V8 Ranch
Waco, Texas is about a 3.5-hour drive from Hungerford, Texas, home of V8 Ranch and other Brahman breeders. While it won’t be as easy to come out to the ranch as it would be during a Houston show, we will be welcoming visits and tours both prior to and after the show. If you would like to schedule a tour at V8 Ranch, please reach out to us via email for an appointment and we will do our best to accommodate you.
International Brahman Show Entry Information
According to the show’s Facebook page, entries opened January 29, 2021 and will close at midnight on March 1, 2021. The Brahman Journal also outlines weight and measurement parameters for those considering entering. Every breed is different, but the Brahman show entries can be made here.
A Highlight of the Year
We hope you’ll join us in the festivities as we celebrate what is already proving to be a successful year and enjoy fellowship together. If history is any indicator, the Brahman breed should have a great showing at this year’s event, and we’ll have a good time doing it as well!
